Teacher Profile:

Anna Youngs has been teaching yoga in Cambridge for six years. Prior to this, she taught in mainstream primary school for 9 years. Over the past 10 years, Anna has been studying and practicing a range of Hatha yoga (Iyengar, Ashtanga and Sivananda). Her yoga teacher training qualifications from America, Thailand and the UK are in:

Yoga Therapy (IYT)
Ashtanga Yoga (Paul Dallaghan)
Birthlight antenatal and postnatal yoga diploma
Birthlight baby yoga diploma
Family yoga with Sitaram (Uma Dinsmore –Tuli)
Well woman yoga with Yoga Campus (Uma Dinsmore –Tuli and Ruth Gilmore)
Pranayama with Tiwari and Paul at Yoga Thailand

Anna has runs the Baby Yoga teacher training course for a national organisation. Anna has two young girls and yoga has helped her immensely during pregnancy, labour and postnatally to bring about two positive, calm home births and strong recovery.

Anna believes that yoga is essential to nurturing a sense of well being in every person, whatever their age or experience. Drawing on her own experience, practice and research, Anna teaches that yoga brings release from stress and a sense of calm and freedom to the body and mind. In her classes, students work at the poses to stretch, tone, align, strengthen and relax the body. This focus helps to clear the mind and bring a fresh perspective. Releasing tension from the body is developed further with breathing exercises and guided relaxation at the end of the class. Anna aims for each student to leave feeling more energised and relaxed.
